1、第六讲纯粹派摄影(PURE PHOTOGRAPHY)任一权二十世纪初,摄影艺术的创作思想是活跃的。这一时期摄影艺术发展的总体趋向如本文第四讲中所说,是由“造型性”向“纪实性”靠拢与融合发展,使主宰初期摄影艺术的“高艺术”解体,代之以“画意摄影”的兴起。但由于本时期里印象派摄影的中后期内,使摄影艺术创作向“造型性”本体轴反弹和回复,于是又一次引起摄影介的震动和反对,发出“形式服从功能”的呼声。1904 年,美国一位名叫S.哈特门(S.HARTMANN)的评论家对印象派过予模仿绘画作出严厉批评,他提出摄影艺术应该是“依靠你的照相机,你的眼睛,你的高度的鉴别能力,你的构图修养。你要重视色彩、光与影的

2、变化;研究线条、影调轻重和物与物的空间关系;耐心等待到你所要拍摄对象最美的瞬间状态的出现”。他吁请大家“不要误会我的意思,我并不是要大家囿于我上面的观点,也更不是不要大家象目前那样去刻意追求艺术。刚好相反,而是希望能比现在更艺术。我深信只有如实摄影才能做到”。由此可见他的摄影艺术观的内核不是对画意摄影的叛逆,而只是希望摄影艺术发挥摄影的本体主轴特性纪实性,充分发挥其照相机、镜头和感光材料的独特功能进行“纯粹摄影”的创作,去获得“比现在更艺术些”的效果。上述新的摄影艺术理念在摄影界立刻获得被影评家H.纽霍尔誉为“一生都在严格地研究和考察照相机、镜头和感光材料的基本性能”的著名摄影大师A.斯蒂格里

3、茨的响应与支持。他首先在自已于1902 年发起建立的摄影组织“摄影分离派”里,与中坚分子 E.J.斯泰肯(E.J.STEICHEN)、F.H.伊文思、和 E.科伯恩(E.KOBERN)等人行动起来,吸收“自然主义摄影”理论中的合理部分,倡导摄影艺术应该弘扬自身的特质和性能,彻底抛弃绘画对摄影的影响,推广S.哈特门的“纯粹”摄影理念,用纯净的摄影技术和手段去求得摄影自身所具有的审美效果高度清晰的影象、丰富的明暗层次、微妙的光影变化、细腻的纹理表现。由于他们的成就和在摄影界的地位,很快在他们周围凝聚了一批摄影家,推动人们对摄影本体和独特表现手段的重视、探索和研究。摄影史家将他们和一批持上述摄影艺术

4、理念创作的摄影家及其作品,即在摄影艺术上刻意追求优良“摄影素质”准确、直接、精微、和自然地表现被摄对象的光、色、线、影、纹、质诸方面,而不借助其他造型技术手段的摄影家及其作品,冠以“纯粹派”之称。随着时代的变化,纯粹派摄影后来分成两个分支:一个分支是以特写表现物局部,以凸现“形”与“质”为已任的“新即物主义摄影”,另一分支则向线条、简约、歪曲和图案化发展而成为“抽象派摄影”。这一流派的著名摄影家除文中已提及的以外,还有 P.斯特兰德(P.STRAND)、E.J.韦斯顿(E.J.WESTON)、A.亚当斯(A.ADAMS)、I.坎宁安(I.CUNNINGHAN)、。名作有A.斯蒂格里茨的日光与阴

5、影(1889)和赛马场(1904)P.斯特兰德的白色栏杆(1916)、F.H.伊文斯的台阶(1903)、E.J.斯泰肯的摩尔根肖像(1903)和 C.希勒的内部(1917)。未来派摄影(FUTURISM PHOTOG RAPHY)“未来主义”为一种近代的文艺思潮。最早始于二十世纪初的欧洲意大利的文学界。1909 年 2月 2日意大利诗人F.T.马利奈蒂(F.T.MARINETTI)为反对民主和社会主义思想,首次著文题为未来主义宣言在巴黎费加罗报上刊出。他在该文中说“我们宣布,世界的壮观因一种新的美而得到丰富速度之美”。在他的鼓吹下,逐步扩至俄国、法国、德国、英国、波兰。后转入造型艺术领域。19

6、10 年 U.波丘尼(BOCCIONI)、G.巴拉(G.BALLA)、C.卡腊(C.CARRA)等艺术家联合签署一份宣言未来派绘画宣言。宣言称“事实上,一切都在晃动,一切都在奔跑,一切都在迅速转化。由于形象持续存在于视网膜上,运动中的物体便成倍增长,在接踵而至时产生了变形,就如同在空中的快速振动一般。于是,一匹奔驰的骏马就不是四条腿了,而是二十条腿,而且他们的运动呈现为三角形”。绘画中的未来主义高潮期是19121915 年,淡出于第一次世界大战之后。摄影艺术领域里的“未来派摄影”出现于二十世纪的一十年代初,稍后于绘画。最先引入并倡导的摄影家是意大利人A.G.布拉加利阿(A.G.BRAGAGLI

7、A)。开初,他称自已的实验性创作为“动态摄影”;1913 年,他出版了一本鼓吹自已摄影新观念的演讲集,其书名更改为 未来派摄影动态论。在这本书中他才明确提出“未来派摄影”这一概念。他认为这种摄影“艺术的独特和与众不同,存在于极富创新精神之中”。他说“动态的效果,这就是全部姿态的流动轨迹的综合,以及我们经历的时间含意”。就其本质言,其摄影本体仍属纪实主轴,与纯粹派相通。在这一时期,他确实创作了不少很有线条律动极富动感的摄影作品。遗撼的是,由于慢门拍摄这种摄影造型技巧有很大的表现上的局限,没有蔚然成风。但它对摄影中的动态描写影象重叠、虚实相辅,动作线化都丰富了摄影艺术视觉造型技巧。纯粹派摄影作品文
