1、 The architecture of the small animal PET system is shown in Fig.1,which consists of detector modules,Front Amplifier Boards(FABs),Singles Processing Units(SPUs),Coincidence Processing Units(CPUs),Silicon Photomultipliers(SiPM)Supply Board(SSB),Clock and Synchronize Board(CSB),Power Supplier(PS)and
2、PC.The detector modules absorb the photons and generate electrons signals.Then the signals are amplified by the FAB,and transmitted to the SPU.In the SPU,through the time and charge measurement of the input analog signals,it can calculate the position and energy information and transmit the digital
3、signals to the CPU.Then the CPU module coincides all the digital signals and send the results to PC.Fig.1 The architecture of the small animal PET system.In this work,the SPU,which is a 32 channels high-resolution time and charge measurement module,is design.And we conducted a series of tests to eva
