1、Hello everyone.Today I want to introduce some new strategies for dealing with COVID-19.Such as Stem Cell Transplantation,Convalescent Plasma Therapy and Lung Transplantation.I will elaborate my topic from the following aspects.Up to now corona virus have sparked fear the worldwide by march 8.The nov
2、el corona virus has claimed in more than 100 countries,and the situation is not get better.Now in China it has been controlled.It estimated that by the end of April,people except those in Wuhan could hopefully get rid of masks and go back to normal life.Chinese government act quickly investing and i
3、nspire medical science and technology research for not only handing current crisis but also preventing future recurrence.National Natural Science Foundation of China set up special fund supporting 20 projects with 1.5 million yuan for each.Chinese government acted quickly investing and inspiring med

5、n from central budget to support Hubei.In the battle with corona virus,the new improvements of medical technology contributed a lot.Till now 14 novel corona virus detection products have been approved and applied.Researchs of Hong Kong university developed COVID-19 detector.It takes about 40 minutes
6、 from sampling to detecting results.Professor Peng Yancai from Xian Jiaotong University also did a lot of works in this field.AI chest CT evaluation system has been developed in hospitals in more than 20 provinces and cities.It greatly improved efficiency.Professor Guo Youming,the First Hospital of
7、Xian Jiaotong University contribute creative works in AI Chest CT diagnosis.For the aspect of the treatment Lancet once reported a study of nine patients with ARDS receiving mesenchymal stem cells.The result showed lower mortality and increased clinical benefit.In a pig model of influenza virus-indu
8、ced acute lung injury,administration of MSC significantly induced virus shedding and alleviated virus-induced lung lesions.This therapy has been applied for treating COVID-19 patients.Seven patients with COVID-19 pneumonia in Beijing,You An Hospital accepted MSC injection.The pulmonary function and
9、symptoms of all patient was significantly improved in two days after transplantation.Inflammatory cells infiltration and inflammatory factor were elevated.This trial indicated that intravenous transplantation of the MSC was safe and effective for treatment in patient with COVID-19 pneumonia,especial
10、ly for the patients in critically severe condition.Convalescent plasma therapy were the ones used in the treatment of SARS,H1N1,Ebola,and MERS.Some study reported a short hospital stay and lower mortality.At this time 10 patients of COVID-19 were enrolled first to use convalescent plasma,with the re
11、sult of 1 case discharged,6 cases improved and 3 cases stable.Up to the end of February,544 cases of plasma have been collected nationwide for the clinical treatment of 245 patients suffered COVID-19.Recently Lancet reported ARDS is a major organ damage in critically ill patients with COVID-19 pneum
12、onia.Autopsy and pathology of death case also indicate ARDS.A study enrolled 14 patient waiting for lung transplantation due to severe ARDS,the results showed 3-year survival rate of the lung transplantation was a 78%.In order to treat severe patient of COVID-19,first lung transplantation was comple
13、tely on the February 29th by the team of Chen Jingyu in Wuxi.A 59 years old male patient of the COVID-19 received a double lung transplantation with a negative nucleic acid test results for five times.Before transplantation the patient had irreversible pulmonary dysfunction even after going through
14、trachea cannula,ECMO support and medication.After 37 hours the patient have been separated from mechanical ventilation and ECMO.Three days later the second double lung transplantation was completely by the team of Liang Tingbo in Zhejiang.A 66 years old female patient of COVID-19 has the same condit
15、ion as the former patient.She finally received surgery with several negative nuclear acid test results.As for the treatment of the COVID-19 the indication of lung transplantation must be strict.The patient must match all the following condition simultaneously.Irreversible pulmonary disfunction with
16、the support of ventilator,ECMO,negative nucleic acid test for several times and tolerance of the surgery.Lung transplantation benefits several patients of the COVID-19 in aspects of clinical and economy.For the future clinical application of the lung transplantation in COVID-19.Professional team of
17、experts in transplantation and immunology must be organized.The patients who in the age between 20-50 or have high success rate should be the first choice.Autopsy and pathology of the death case also revolted deterioration of the ARDS caused by phlegm and sputum.Our term invented a robot for suction
18、ing sputum.Now it was used in the Second Hospital of Air Force Medical University.For the study of the virus,scientists in USA and China have published the structure of a SARS-coV-2.It is of great significant for the research of vaccines.According to report of National Health Commission of China tha
19、t in April some of the vaccine is expected to be able to enter clinical research or emergency use.In current crisis,medical science and technology face the enormous challengers as well as acquiring abundant opportunities.We researchers of medical science and technology have a lots work to do in epidemiology virus treatment and so many others.Thats all for my speech.Thank you.
