3、rialTodays lesson is the FIRST/SECOND period of UintX in Book X PEP.The main theme of this text is toXXX.Therefore,students will benefit a lot from this passage becauseXXX.According to the demands of the new English Curriculum,I set up three teaching aims:knowledgethree teaching aims:knowledgeaims,a

5、s reading skills by skimming,scanning and intensive reading.Meanwhile,Students ability to discover,analyze and solve problems will be cultivated.At last moves tomoral aimsmoral aims.Moral aimsMoral aims are to let ss be positive in life and improve their cooperative spiritby group works.Based on the

6、 aims,the teaching key points and difficult pointsthe teaching key points and difficult points are as follows.Teaching key pointsTeaching key points are XXX.While the difficult pointsthe difficult points mainly focus on how to use different reading strategies for different purpose.Part 2.Analysis of

9、and 4rd part,analysis of teaching and learning methods.According to the analysis of teaching material and students,Ill use thethe task-based teaching approachtask-based teaching approachtogether with the communicative teaching methodthe communicative teaching method and the situational approachthe s

10、ituational approach.As for learning methodslearning methods,individual work,pair work,group work and discussion will be arranged tocultivate students ability of cooperative and researched.During the teaching process,Multi-media computer,PPT and school things will be needed.Part 5.Teaching Procedures

11、Part 5.Teaching ProceduresOK,so much for the teaching and learning methods.Next comes my most important part,the teachingthe teachingprocedures.procedures.In order to achieve my teaching aims successfully,I divide my teaching procedure into 6 steps:Lead-in,pre-reading,while-reading,post-reading,summ

12、ary and homework.Lead-in,pre-reading,while-reading,post-reading,summary and homework.Step 1.Lead-inStep 1.Lead-inIn this step,I will create a situation and have a free talk with students to bring up todays topic.The purpose of creating a situation and talking with ss are to arouse students interests

13、 to todays topic.The students will be very excited.Therefore,the topic of this lesson is naturally led in.Step 2.Pre-readingStep 2.Pre-readingIn this step,I will ask students to look at the title,subtitle and photos on the book and then let themguess the main idea of this passage.Guessing the main i

14、dea is very conducive to students active participation and learning.Step 3.While-readingStep 3.While-readingI mainly use task-based methodtask-based method to help students understand this passage very well and improve theirreading skills in this step.Task 1.SkimmingTask 1.SkimmingStudents are encou

15、raged to find out the main idea according to have a fast reading of the wholepassage.This task aims to develop students ability of searching for information by skimming.Help studentsto have a general understanding of the structure and content of the whole passage.Task 2.ScanningTask 2.ScanningStuden

16、ts are encouraged to read the passage again and find out the details that they are looking for.Meanwhile,finish the T or F exercise.Students can find information quickly without reading the whole text.I will make sure students understandthe difference between“reading for meaning”and“reading fordetai

17、l”.Task 3.Intensive readingTask 3.Intensive readingRead the passage carefully,ask students some further understanding questions,such as XXX?The goal of this task is to develop ss reading ability and also check their reading results.Besides,some language points will be found out and explained in this

18、 task,such asWORD1,WORD2 andWORD3.I will let students guess the meaning of these new words and phrases from the context.This can pushstudents to improve their ability to guess the words.Step 4.Post-readingStep 4.Post-readingIn this step I design 1 activity to help the students strengthen what they h

19、ave read and learned before.6 ss as a group and discuss their own ways to solve problems.The purpose is that students can practice their spoken English and cooperative spirit.Meanwhile,students comprehensive ability of using language can be greatly improved.Step 5.SummaryStep 5.SummaryIn order to he

20、lp students have a good review of what we learned today.Students summarize what theyhave learned by themselves.Then I will make an assessment on each group.At last,I will emphasize theimportance of group work and self-learning.Step 6.HomeworkStep 6.HomeworkWrite a composition according to the conten

21、t of group works.The homework will help students to remember the knowledge deeply.Part 6.Blackboard Design&Teaching ReflectionPart 6.Blackboard Design&Teaching ReflectionThe final step is the blackboard design.On the blackboard,the reading strategies will be shown here,and also the new words and phrases will be presented here.In this way,students can review what theyhave learned clearly and easily.That s all are my presentation.Thanks for listening.
