1、基本信息单元教学设计单元名称Languages around the World1. 单元教学设计说明:本单元主题围绕语言发展和语言学习经历,内容涉及到联合国的工作语言、汉字的发展、英式英语和美式英语的主要区别、英语学习中遇到的困难和解决这些困难的建议等。要求学生在本单元学习中要具有国际视野,同时还能从国家和自身发展的需要出发,了解语言学习的重要性,即可标里要求的语言意识,了解汉字对我国文化传承和发展的积极意义,以及深度思考英语学习的策略和方法。2. 单元目标与重点难点:By learning this unit, students will be able to :(1)Learn to t
2、ell the difference between British English and American English. (2)Make sense of the general development of Chinese writing system.(3)Voice your ideas on both problems and the solutions related to English.(4)Master the use of attributive clause guided by relative adverbs when, where and why. 3.单元整体
3、教学思路:本单元预计需要六个课时完成总体单元课程。第一课时,完成Explore languagesaroundtheworld(listeningandspeaking):学生能够听懂并获取信息;抓住每一种语言的名称和特征;记住每一种语言的独特之处;发表自己对学另一种语言意义的看法。第二课时,完成ExploretheChinesewritingsystem(readingandthinking):学生能够理解汉字的发展历史;抓住语篇结构的特征;归纳文章要点;总结表达事物发展史的关键要点;正确使用有关话题词汇,介绍自己熟悉事物的发展过程和发表自己的看法。第三课时, Describeyourfav
4、oritethings(DiscoveringUsefulStructures):学生能够使用正确的语言结构表达自己喜好的事物;正确使用定语从句结构表达所指的事物,时间,地点和原因;总结表达自我喜好的几种方法。第四课时,完成ExploredifferentkindsofEnglish(ListeningandTalking):学生能够获取听力文本中的英语语言差异性的关键点;关注英语语言的拼写和发音方面的不同;归纳各种英语之间的不同点之间的规律;使用恰当语言表达询问确切和重复回答。第五课时,完成WriteablogaboutEnglishstudy(ReadingforWriting):学生能够
5、通过博客对英语学习的看法;使用得体的语言发表看法和交换意见。第六课时,完成theexercisesonPage 68-69(AssessingyourProgress):学生能够正确完成所有练习项目;自我评价学习效果。 课时教学设计课题Reading and Thinking1. 教学内容分析: 阅读文本是一篇介绍汉字发展的说明性文章。标题“The Chinese Writing System: Connecting the Past and the Present”直接点明汉字连接中华文明的过去和现在的历史作用。从历史上看,汉字发展历程跌宕起伏,而文本主要聚焦在汉字与中华文明的关系上,选择了
6、最重要的信息进行介绍,语言简明扼要、重点突出。作者态度鲜明,开篇点题中华文明能一直延续不断并传承至今,其中一个重要原因是汉字书写体系的发展与传承。通过对汉字发展的介绍,表达了作者对中华文明和中华文化走向世界的自信。2. 学情分析:大部分同学通过前四个单元,大约两个月的高一阶段英语学习,对高中的英语学习已有了一定的基础和经验。但是对于每单元新接触的内容还是有些畏惧心理;期待在新的单元学习中有进步,期待能改进自己的英语学习方法,希望了解和掌握高中英语学习的规律。虽然学生有一定的高中英语能力基础,但仍然有需要提高的地方,如有些学生阅读理解思路不清晰;有些学生语篇理解时层次和逻辑不清晰,在阅读理解时不
7、会筛选重要信息用于判断;口头和书面表达还不能应用自如;对单元主题意义的探究思路还不是很清楚。因此,如何提高学生对单元主题的理解和对主题意义探究的路径及在主题的引领下有效地表达自己的想法是本单元的教学和评价的重点。3. 目标确定:By learning this section, students will be able to:1) make sense of the development on the Chinese writing system.2) describe the development of their favorite things or ones they are fa

Teacher arrange for students to enjoy another prepared music share what they are feeling after hearing the music.
