A Place in the Kingdom includes 50 original paintin

23、gs by Lynda Toews and 22 stories contributed by Manitoba Mennonites who grew up on farms. The stories and paintings are intended to stir up consideration of the divinely designed beauty, intelligence, individuality, and loyalty of farm animals and of the love that can exist in the human/animal relat

24、ionship. The intent is also to connect the generations as well as rural and urban people. May these animals find a special place in our hearts. The exhibit is a celebration of farm animals and the heritage stories that surround them. Visitors of the exhibition will encounter the straightforward gaze

25、 of fellow creatures who share the earth. They are bathed in warm light and depicted with a strong commitment to artistic technical facility in order to propose that they are indeed worthy of our attention. When one stops to think, its not difficult to count the many ways in which farm animals have

26、contributed to our survival! Toews has degrees in Fine Arts ( Honours) and Education. They touched him gently, never showing any fear or concern, though they must both have felt deeply. The boy determined when he needed

When I returned home, I didnt bring the usual ton of gifts, nor did I give Dena kisses or promises. I greeted them both with a warm hug and kiss, and talk

36、ed casually about ordinary things. My wife, Sylvia, sensed what I was trying to do and helped right along.
