1、科技与生活2Technology and life There’s no doubt that the development of technology has made a huge difference to our daily life. I can hardly imagine what life would be like without all the advanced technology. For example, when I go out, I can only bring my mobile phones with me. I can listen to m
2、usic with it, I can take photos or record a short video with it, I can search for information or the latest news with it. Even when I need to shop, I can pay with it. Dear friends, can you live without your mobile phone for a week in a big city?But, while we’re enjoying the convenience of rapi
3、d developing technology, we may have ignored many serious consequences brought by them . Take Industrial Revolution as an example. From the 1760s to the 1840s, the First Industrial revolution completely changed the methods of manufacturing and technology multiplies the efficiency of it. People could
4、 buy high-quality products with much lower price ,which did improve people’s life in some ways. But the disadvantage is too obvious to be ignored-air pollution. Almost all the factories put up chimneys to let out smoke overnight. The emission caused haze hanging above cities months and months,
5、 years and years and thus people could barely breathe normally anymore .The haze caused thousands of deaths in Britain and manyother industrialized countries. However, neither the government nor the people realized the problem then. No action was taken to stop pollution. Air pollution was just a beg
6、inning. Since First industrial revolution, human beings have witnessed the explosive growth of science and technology. In the meantime, our desire and ability to change the environment we live in grew stronger and stronger. Nowadays with the help of technology, human’s traces are everywhere fr
7、om lands to oceans, from plains to mountains. Even on Mount Everest, there are thousands of people leaving tons of waste on their way to conquer the top of the world. Even in the deepest ocean, there are plastic products killing the whales, turtles and so on. Isn’t it necessary for us to think
8、 deeply about to how to live a greener life with fast developing technology? In the late 1970s ,fortunately, we humans realized the damage we had done to the Earth. Instead of hurting it, we’re now making full use of our cutting-edge technologies to protect it. Technologies are now improving o
9、ur lives with little or even no damage to the environment, such as solar energy, hydropower, and wind energy. And that’s the best way to apply technologies to our everyday life. What we have to do next is to keep on doing this way and develop new technologies that will make our lives better withoutcausing damage to our planet Earth. I’m also looking forward to experiencing what changes 5G can bring to our lives.
