1、If,unless引导的条件状语从句引导条件状语从句最常用的连词是if,常见的if条件状语从句表示在某条件下， 某事很可能发生，条件是可能存在的，主句中某种情况发生的概率也是很高的。 如：If you ask him, he will help you.如果你请他帮助，他会帮你的。另外，if从句还表示不可实现的条件或根本不可能存在的条件，也就是一种虚拟 的条件或假设。从句多用一般过去时或过去完成时，表示对现在或过去的一种假 设。如：If I were you, I would invite him to the party.如果我是你，我会邀请他参加聚会。 另外你还要注意if条件句的时态搭配1

5、 people.在if引导的条件状语从句中，if和条件句位置灵活，可直接放在主句后面，假设 if条件句放句首，从句后面要加逗号，和主句隔开。还要注意前后时态一致原那么unless的用法一、unless的基本用法连词unless意为“除非.如果不.、“除了”，多引导一个否认意义 的真实条件句，有时也可引导非真实条件旬。unless引导条件句时，主要用于 以下情况。(1)主句为肯定句。如：Unless I visit every bookstore in town. I shall not know whether I can get what I want.如果我不到城里每一家书店去看看，我就不
6、知道是否能买到我想要 的书。You will miss the bus unless you hurry up.你要不快点就会错过班车。Youll fail in chemistry again unless you work harder.如果你不再力口把劲， 你化学考试还会不及格。(2)主句为否认句。如：Unless you oil the motor regularly, it won5t run smoothly. 要不是你经常给 发动机上油。它就不会转得那么顺畅。I wouldnt be saying this unless I were sure of the facts. 要是我
7、对这些事 情没有把握，我就不说这话了。You will never get anywhere unless you have set your goal.如果你不设定 目标，你哪儿也去不了。二、应注意的一些问题1. unless不能与enot换用的情况unless在意义上相当于if.not,因此在有些场合中unless与if.not可互换 使用。如： Unless I am mistaken. 9、这么昂贵的公寓。They couldnt have arrived at the site instantly unless the police had had a helicopter.除非警方有直升机，不然他们就不会即刻赶到事发地点。以上两例中，unless从句均表示与事实相反的情况。如果把unless换成 if.not(.if they were not rick,.if the police had not had a helicopter)就与原句 意义完全相反了。讦not引导的条件分句可以重叠使用，unless那么不可，因为unless表示 唯一条件，不能用and连接两个unle
