1、-as, while,when 与让步状语从句 1as引导的让步状语从句，句子要求用倒装结构，此时的as相当于though，但比though引导的让步状语从句语意更强烈，表现力更强。如： 1）形容词as主语（代词）系动词，主句 Small as it was，the army had great fighting capacity这支军队虽然很小，战斗力却很强。 Young as he is，he knows many things他年纪虽小，知道的事可不少。 2）副词或动词原形as主语，主句 Much as I like it，I will not buy it虽然我很喜欢这东西，但不想买它
2、。 Try as I would，I couldnt lift the stone不管我使多大劲也搬不起这块石头。 Do as I might，I could not finish the duty虽然我努力做了，但仍未完成这项任务。 2while引导的让步状语从句，while相当于though although。如： While Smith loves his daughter，he is strict with her虽然史密斯爱他的女儿，但仍严格要求她。 While I admit his good points，I can see his shortcoming虽然我承认他的优点，但我还是看到了他的缺点。 While I believe it，I must consider 我虽信，但还要考虑一下。 3when引导的让步状语从句，when相当于though although。如： Well try to finish the work in time when we are short of manpower 虽然我们缺乏人力，但我们还是要按时完成这项工作。 We had only two books when we needed five 虽然我们需要五本书，可我们却只有两本。第 2 页-
