The difficult problems stop us from getting further. 与stopfrom结构相似的表达有:preventfrom, keepfrom His illness prevented him from speaking. Reading books keeps us from getting

13、one before five oclock.2副词副词是一类用来修饰动词、形容词、其他副词或整个句子的词类。副词的作用修饰动词The boy can swim quickly. (副词quickly修饰动词swim)The reporter writes articles carefully. (副词carefully修饰动词write)修饰形容词The shoes look really beautiful. (副词really修饰形容词beautiful)The boy is tall enough to reach the book shelf. (副词enough修饰形容词tall)

19、now him well enough. / There is enough food for everyone to eat. / There is water enough for children to drink. 副词的比较级和最高级的用法级用 法例 句比较级表示两者(人或事物)的比较。副词比较级的用法与形容词相似。在“比较级+than”的句子中,当than前后所使用的动词相同时,通常用助动词代替后面的动词。有时可用a bit,a little,much,far,a lot,still,even等修饰。1. Who runs faster, Jackie or Peter?2. Ti

20、m jumped farther than Jim (did).3. He works much harder than I (do).最高级表示三者或三者以上(人或事物)的比较,其中的一个在某方面超过其他几个时,用最高级。形容词最高级的前面一般要加the,副词前可省。后面可带of或in的短语来说明比较的范围。1. He jumps (the) highest of the three. 2. Lucy sings the (best) of all.3. Who runs (the) fastest in the class?副词的同级比较1表示A与B在某一方面程度相同时用“as + 副词原

21、形 + as”的句型。如: Tom can do his homework as fast as his classmates. 汤姆做作业和他的同学们一样快。 We couldnt imagine that Ben ran as quickly as Michael at school sports meeting. 我们不能想象在校运动会上本跑得和麦克一样快。2表示A在某一方面不及B时用“not as/so + 副词原形 + as”的句型。如: He didnt come to school as early as his teacher. 他不如老师到校得早。 He did not di

22、g as deep as his colleagues. 他没有同事挖得深。 【注意】not as/so as的句型可以和含有than的句子相互转换。如: Billy didnt do the work as carefully as Sandy. 可以转换成: Sandy did the work more carefully than Billy. 易混淆副词的辨析以下副词的使用经常会引起混淆,应引起注意:1close意思是“近”My mother is sitting close to me. (妈妈坐得离我很近。)closely意思是“仔细地”I felt surprised and

23、watched him closely. (我感觉奇怪,紧紧盯着他看。)2late意思是“晚”Sorry, I came here too late. (对不起,我来得太晚了。)lately意思是“最近”What have you been doing lately? (你最近都在干些什么?)3deep表示空间深度He buried the box deep into the mud. (他把盒子埋进土里。)deeply表示感情深度,“深深地”He was deeply moved by the film. (他被影片深深地感动了。)4high表示空间高度The plane was flyin
