1、传统文化相关作文教育部考试中心主任姜钢在中国高等教育杂志刊登的文章坚持以立德树人为核心深化高考考试内容改革中透露，在命题工作中更加注重“四个加强：加强社会主义核心价值观的考查；加强依法治国理念的考查；加强中国优秀传统文化的考查；加强创新能力的考查。英语书面表达这个题目中，也已经体现出了对中国优秀传统文化的重视，例如：17年全国I卷 作文题材为告知一个学习汉语的英语朋友下次上课学唐诗的安排；17年全国II卷题材为邀请外教参加中国剪纸艺术展。在往年的考试中，其实也有对传统文化的体现，例如：16年北京卷写信介绍自己喜欢的中国历史人物，15年全国卷II 邀请外教去敬老院同过重阳节，15年北京卷邀请参加
2、龙舟训练营，13年全国卷II 请外国朋友代卖中国结，13年辽宁卷参加介绍中秋节的征稿活动，12年天津卷邀请观看越剧梁山伯与祝英台，11年天津卷介绍在天津一日游安排，09年全国卷介绍改建后背景前门大街的情况，09年四川卷介绍中国社交习俗，06年江西卷看图作文中秋节的等待。以后的考试中，可能会进一步突出“中国优秀传统文化”这个方向的话题，例如中国的四大艺术琴棋书画、文房四宝、四大发明、四大名著、国粹京剧、唐诗宋词、古代建筑艺术、文化遗址、中国武术、中医中药等等，与这些相关的话题均可能是命题的重要素材。作文话题也可能会体现“社会主义核心价值观”，比如爱国、诚实、守信等。实际上，这些也是中国民族的传统
