1、The Acquisition of English Grammar Abstract:Grammar is the language rules of English learning to master. How to make the students learn and use in teaching, the teaching worker should do what I want. The new curriculum standard of English language teaching mentioned the teaching way of English , fun

This paper focuses on the teacher in the classroom to help students to grasp the application rules and can communicate with people , reading and writing, etc.Key Words:. 3、英语时必须掌握的语言规则。如何在教学中使学生习得并且运用,这是教学工作者应该做想的事。在新课程英语教学中提到的“语法隐形,功能为纲”就简洁的阐述出其中的关键。本文将着重阐述在课堂中老师如何使学生掌握其运用规律并且能够使用进行交际、读 、写等。关键词:语法;“语法隐形,功能为纲”; 交际、读 、写。1. IntroductionThe role of grammar in language learning has been debate.Today, the role of grammar in language learning has two statement: (1) the role
4、 of grammar in language teaching; (2) the methods in which grammar should be presented and practiced. Despite many different views about the role of grammar in language learning, the importance of grammar cannot be denied. Second language researchers, methodologists and practitioners have commented
5、that grammatical competence is essential for communication and reading、writing. Most research has agreed that there is a positive role of instruction for grammar learning.How learning grammar you have recognized how it is formed and grasped its basic sentence structure? The majorities of Chinese sec
6、ond language learners have been puzzled by such questions for many years. So it is very important for our second language learners to make clear the sentence. Clearly, knowing the sentence is one thing, but how that knowledge is acquired another. 2. Teaching TheoryAs for grammar, in the teaching pro
7、cess, we use the most is the theory: BehaviouristCognitive, Constructivist, Socio-constructivist.When teachers and students to communicate, they are using those theories. In my opinion, Socio-constructivist theory is one of these theories more importantance, because the learner can move to a higher
8、level of understanding and good with people communication. Grammar of a language learning theory method. Let us to have a better learning grammar, to learn a foreign language well.3. The use of teaching methods in teachingIn the normal acquisition process, most students are in favor of “mechanical p
9、ractice” according to my own experience and the research which has been done. The strategies of mechanical practice: substitution drill, transformation drill. Such phenomenon is caused not only by the effect of the theories 0f Chinese traditional language learning, but also by the backward condition
10、s of learning English.We all known; teaching grammar in the class we could get a lot of example sentences or oral to make students are able to summary grammar of the law. Then the teacher explains the underlying rules regarding the formsand positions of certain structural word. Maybe we can comparis
11、ons are made between the native language and the target language or between the newly presented structure and previously learned structures.In such a way that students learn better. It is cognitive approach. Language is a tool for human communication. So we learn language for talk about. In our teac
12、hing the language of grammar, we can let students first listen. Listening our talk about something, and analyzing the sentence change regular pattern. In the process we will using Audio-visual Method, Audio-lingual Method and Total physical Response.Finally , when we are learned the new kowledge, we
13、 should go to more exercise. For instance; Meaningful practice, Using prompts for practice. The two is the most important. after the presentation and mechanical practice of adj comparatives and sup.the following activity can be done as meaningful practice. Using prompts for practice have six terms:(
14、1)using picture prompts; we get some pictures, and students descried what the people or others have/do something. They must use new sentence grammar.(2) using mimes or gestures as prompt. (3) using information sheet as prompts.(4) using key phrases or key words as prompts students are askd to prduce
15、 language based on the given pictures and key words.(5) using chained phrases foe story telling.(6)using created situations. In classroom situations, teachers try to use English. So that students have a good language environment. Through the practice of students in order to better mastery of new kno
16、wledge.Extensive reading is a crucial way for second language learners in grammar learning. In second language learning, learners in a higher reading level master rules of grammar mainly in extensive not through mechanical memorization. However, problems may occur to those learners who has little gr
17、ammar and cannot do extensive reading, to analyze the elements of sentences. There are some suggestions to follow. First, learners must have got certain trainings in order to master at least 8 most common sentences in second language. Next, they should find reading materials for themselves, like tho
18、se reorganized from the original edition. Meanwhile, second langue learners should pay attention when selecting their reading materials, better to choose which are suitable for them to read and which they are interested in. In addition, extensive reading does not mean to force oneself to do large qu
19、antities of reading in one day or during a very short period, but do a certain amount day by day. This will form a good sense of language.Grasp the specific use of the sentences so as to distinguish it from other . Second, it is necessary for learners to read the example sentences illustrating the g
20、rammar while looking up a dictionary. What is more, learners can learn better by making sentences, even writing compositions.4. ConclusionThe influence of Chinese on Chinese learners of English is an inevitable problem in second language acquisition. In the process of grammar acquisition of the seco
21、nd language, we should first identify what grammar acquisition is. And the analysis of the existing problems will give us a more directly solution to this problem. The most effective help for Chinese second language learners is to let them distinguish the differences between the two languages. Thus
22、they get more thorough understanding and can avoid Chinese interference. And then, they will find more practical strategies for second language grammatical learning.
