5、holdingameetingatBailongTemple白龙寺inOutlawsoftheMarshwereallsomewhatrelatedtoJiujiang.Manypeopleknowthat“Apricotwoodsisamedicalword.ItissaidthatwhenDongFeng,adoctorinThreeStatesPeriod,visitedMt.LushanandhelikedthebeautyofMt.Lushan.Sohelivedheretoself-improveandcuresthepatientsatthesametime.DongFengwa
6、sakind-hearteddoctorwhocuresthepatientswithoutanypayment.Hejustaskedthepatientstoplantoneapricottreeifthepatientswerenotseriousandfiveapricottreesiftheywereveryseriousaftertheyrecovered.Somanypatientscametoseethedoctorandalotoftreeswereplantedthere,thentheapricotwoodscameintobeing.ThestoryaboutDongF
7、engandtheapricotwoodshasbeentoldfromgenerationtogeneration.TaoYuanming(365-427),apoetinDongjinDynasty,alsocalledYuanliangandMr.WuliuandQianwhenhewasold,wasanativepeopleofJiujiangCity.Weallrespectedhisspiritthathewouldntbendhiswaistforthesalaryfromthegovernmentatthattime.HisessayTheSpringoftheBlossom
8、Flowers桃花源记providedtheidealworldforthepeopleandthehighestchasingoftheintellectuals,especiallyfor“AsIpickchrysanthemumsbeneaththeeasternfence,myeyesfallleisurelyontheSouthernMountain.Hewascalledpastoralpoetbecauseofhishonestfeelingandnaturalstyleinhisessays.HuangTingjian(1045-1105),alsocalledLuzhi,wa
9、sapoetandpaintistinNorthSongDynasty,oneoftheSudongpoScholarswhoisfromXiushuiCounty.HecreatedJiangxiPoemSchoolandgoodathandwriting.BaiLudongAcademyisoneofthemostfamousacademiesinChinesehistory.In(937-942),itwasaschoolforsomefamouspeoplereadingthere.IntheSongDynasty,BaiLudongAcademywassetup.In1179,Zhu
10、Xi,aneducator,camehereasaprefectofNankangmilitaryprefectureandthendecidedtorebuildtheacademy.Afterhishardmanagement,Alotofpeoplewouldliketovisitandstudy.TheBaiLudongAcademyisthefirstoffourfamousacademies(YueluAcademy,ShiguAcademy,JuyangAcademy)andnamedasoneofthebestacademiesathomeandabroad.Ancientpe
11、oplecreatedthewonderfulculturefortheCity,andtheirfollowersarealsocreatingthewonder.Since1980s,thefilmmakerssuchasBiBichengandWangYiminwhoproducedthefamousfilmsTheLoveStoryonMt.LushanandTheFeelingofHometownhavebeengoingallouttomakeoutthebestfilms.TheLoveStoryOnMt.LushanandTheFeelingofHometownwereawarded“HundredFlowersPrize,TheSoundofHometownwasawarded“GoldenChickPrize.QualifiedfilmsarebeingproducedsothattheCitywasnamed“thehometownoffilmbyWenxue.
