1、The Presidential Global Fellowship ApplicationI am proud that I am a student of Northeastern University, USA, majoring in Math. I am fortunate that I have succeeded in Plus One Program in Northeastern University, USA and have studied four master courses, all with A. my undergraduate GPA is 3.86/4.0.
2、In Northeastern University, I am affected by American education and the mission of Northeastern University. In addition, I have studied in other places in the world. At Summer 2 semester in , I studied a summer course in London school of economics, majoring in finance and financial markets. The Brit
3、ain culture environment and teaching have given me different experience. More importantly, I grow up in China, and have strong oriental education background. Chinese education is traditional one, advocating hard-work, helping others and being responsible. My international education experience has po
4、lish me as a international talent with international communication skill and international academic knowledge. I was born and raised in a small city in China, after high school, I finally had a chance to come to America, study and live in the America. Two years later, I am accustomed to the life and
5、 the culture in the America. In , I spent the summer in London, and it took me some time to get used to the life and the culture in London for personalities and mannerisms of the Britain is different from that of Americans and Chinese. However, there were thousands of students from all over world wh
6、o attended LSE summer school and it offered me a good chance to made friends with these international students. I also have trip in other place in Europe Union and The united Arab Emirates, experience global culture. My international life experience enable me to makes friends with people who come fr
7、om every corner of the world and respect their culter.Besides the above, I have global working experience, which has demonstrated leadership , communication skills and team work in a global setting. I have worked as Undergraduate Grader at Northeastern University College of Computer Science and Info
8、rmation Science, Boston, MA , leading a team to address questions regarding to Discrete Structures. Later , I became Actuarial Co-op in NAIC Valuation at , Boston, MA where I assisted in the creation new Long Term Care Product database for valuation and financial reporting.This year , I was member o
9、f Global Relationship Group Co-op at Wellington Management Hong Kong Limited, Hong Kong, supporting the Global Relationship Group to determine monthly and quarterly client performance and communicating with colleagues from different regional teams. In addition, I have ever acted as a leader, leading
10、 a social network marketing team to work for National Games of the Peoples Republic of China. To me, leadership means to guide and to serve. Communication skills and team work are very important in a global cooperation. To be anactive world citizen, one should actively participate in and appreciate
11、the culture from other parts of the world. Therefore, I take an active part in sports games and serve as volunteer. I first worked as Social Network Volunteer for National Games of the Peoples Republic of China, Shenyang, China , helping to post up to date information via internet. It was a wonderfu
12、l experience, not only cultivated my contribution spirits, but also developed my communication, skills team work and leadership. I also volunteered in Boston 2024 Organization Committee, Boston, MA in , helping committee share Olympic bid information with people across New England. Furthermore, I su
