(前置定语) 人们正从着火的房子里跑出来。The boy standing there(=who is stand

2、ing there) is a classmate of mine. (后置定语)站在那儿的那个男孩是我的同班同学。The building being built over there is our library. (后置定语,强调“正在被建”)那里正在建造的大楼是我们的图书馆。【探究总结】(1)单个的动词-ing形式作定语常放在被修饰的名词之前,作_;动词-ing形式短语作定语则常放在被修饰的名词之后,作_,相当于一个定语从句。表示_、_的动作。 (2)动词-ing形式的被动式being done作定语时,表示一个_、_的动作。 (3)动词-ing形式的完成式一般不作定语。【应用实践】(

5、ob is very interesting. 她的工作是非常有趣的。The story is very moving. 这个故事很感人。【探究总结】(1)动词-ing形式作表语用于对主语的内容进行解释说明,可表示抽象或习惯性的动作,且主语和表语可以互换位置。(2)动词-ing形式作表语表示主语的性质、特征和状态,相当于形容词。动词-ing形式的前面可以有修饰性的副词,如very、rather、quite等。(3)作表语的动词-ing形式,许多是由能够表示人们某种感情或情绪的动词变化而来的。常见的有:astonishing、confusing、disappointing、boring、enco
