I like Sichuan home-cooking very much. Today Id like to introduce some of the most famous Sichuan dishes for you.Excellen

2、t environment, rich resources, provide the advantages of the formation and development of Sichuan cuisine. It has a long history and the birthplace is ancient country now in Sichuan named Bashu. It developed rapidly in Tang and Song dynasty and then became very famous in Ming and Qing dynasty. Nowad

3、ays we can find Sichuan cuisine Restaurant all over the world. It has become the most extensive cuisine among Chinas eight regional cuisines. We can find many records about Sichuan cuisine in history books and poetry articles.Sichuan cuisines charm also lies in its development. It inherits(继承) the t

4、raditional flavor and develops actively at the same time. Sichuan cuisine never stops its step to make progress and it mixed many other styles of cuisines across the country to create dozens of new styles. Its ingredient, cooking methods, pursuit(追求) of nutrition also have changed a lot. You even wi

5、ll find it difficult to recognize Sichuan cuisine unless you go to Sichuan province regularly to have a try of the new ones.Perhaps the best known dish is Mapo Tofu. It gained in popularity when a pock-marked woman who lived near the Wanfu Bridge opened a restaurant there in 19th century. She served

6、 many kinds of bean curd dishes but perhaps the one most liked whose fame spread to the rest of China, got the name of Pock-faced Lady Tofu, better known by its Chinese name of Mapo Tofu. Kong Po Chicken, as you may have heard a lot about, ranks top in the Sichuan Cuisine list. Spicy though, Kong Po

7、 Chicken is sweet, different from other typical dishes. Pepper, crushed peanuts mixed with chicken pops create a special taste for you. Taking a spoon with white rice, you feel hot in the mouth and sweet in the throat, which gives you feeling of comfort in the heart. Kong Po Chicken leads you to the

8、 ultimate of food and makes you regret youve met it so late. Another one I recommend here is Hot & Spicy Shrimp. Can such seafood appear on the list of an inland cuisine? Yes, it does. People here also enjoy ingredients coming far away from the sea and cook them in Sichuan Style, turning seafood int

9、o part of this excellent cuisine. Shrimp is salty and fresh. When cooked together with red and green peppers, boiled with soy sauce, shrimps guide tasters to a world of boiling oil and roaring ocean. Theres a saying that Food in the Chinese flavor in Sichuan.
