Read often. Be it an online article, newspaper or
2、a novel, it is always a good habit to read something written in English regularly. Your reading material gives you a sense of not only how the native English-speaking people use the language but also the cultural context and underpinning logic relevant to the language. These are the things you shoul
3、d think about if you are serious about improving your English. (ChinaDaily, Economist, Mark Twain, Bernard Shaw)2. Write often and make efforts to improve your writing. Writing is mirror image of reading, since reading gives you the inputs (grammar, idioms, vocabulary, and logic) and writing offers
4、you a chance to produce some outputs (apply whatever you have learnt from reading in your writing). Without good writing ability, you can never say your English is good enough.3. Listening and Speaking. Again, listening is the input function. Speaking is the output function. Learn by imitation. (Fri

Never practice your English by speaking to your friends or classmates (whose mother tongue is not English) if you are literally trying to translate every single word of your speech into English. 6、e language called Chinglish. Learning a language is never equivalent to picking up words.5. Always consult a dictionary whenever you are not certain about how to use a particular word. Students tend to check the meaning of a word with a electronic dictionary, then use it in their writing without paying attention to form, tense, idiomatic use of the word.
