22、主语此句型的主语与前一句的主语相同,因而主谓不倒装。这种句型表示说话者对前句所提到的情况或事实表示赞同,其中so作“不错;确实如此”解。如:Itiscoldtoday. 今天天气很冷Soitis. 不错,是很冷。Hestudieshard.他学习很努力。Sohedoes.确实如此。3, be your best bet“最好的办法,最好的选择”Observation is your best bet.4, require的用法及物动词,意思是需求,要求。如:This job requires a clear head .1) require 后的宾语从句用 should 型虚拟语气。The b

25、再次对文章内容进行理解。为学生扫清阅读障碍,进一步理解文章内容。Step One: reading Read the letter of acceptancebelow and tick() the information given in the letter.Step Two: introduction英文商务信函格式 信头The heading 信头就是指发信人的地址和发信的日期等。 一般公司都会印制带有信头的信笺纸,包括发信人的姓名,地址,电话,传真等。 编号(写信人的名字缩写)和日期 、编号(写信人的名字缩写) 这部分内容是为了方便今后查询信件用的。封内地址 The inside a

26、ddress 、 收信人的姓名和地址,一般在信的左上方。 必须把收信人的姓名一并写出;收信人的所在部门; 事由 、 事由就是通常说的主题,让人不必读完全信就了解到信的内容。所以事由要写得简明扼要。 称呼 、 指对收信人的一种称呼。 较常使用的有Dear Sirs, Dear Madam, 开头语 、 没有统一的格式,但习惯上先把收到对方来信的 日期,主题及简单内容加以综合叙述,使对方一目了然这是答复哪一封去信的。如果第一次通信,作必要的自我介绍,和了解对 方的途径,并表明目的要求。 正文 、 一封信件的优劣,完全要看正文写的好或坏。 结尾语 、 用来总结全文,提示对收信人的要求,如“希望 来信

27、来函定货”等,另外也附加一些略带客套的 语气。正文结束后,另起一段写结尾语。结束语 、 结束信函时的一种客套,应该与前面的称呼相呼 应。例如:“Sincerely,”“Best Regards, ”or “Yours Truly,”. 结束语写在结尾语下隔一行,只有第一个字母大写,后面加逗号。 签名 The signatrue 、 签上写信人的名字。如果是传统的信件, 写信人最好亲笔签上您的名字。 签名的下面,最好写上发信人的职位。 Step Three: writingRead the internship offer below and write a letter to accept t

28、he offer.Notes:1, accept与receive的区别receive 通常指被动地“收到”或“接到”,而 accept 则指主动地“接受”。如:We havent received his letter for a long time. 我们很久没有收到他的来信了。She offered him a lift and he accepted (it). 她请他坐她的车,他就领情了。On my twentieth birthday I received several gifts. 我二十岁生日那天我收到好几份礼物。比较并体会:She received his present,

29、but she didnt accept it. 她收到了他的礼物,但是没有接受。注意:有时用词要视语言习惯而定,而不能简单地认为 receive收到,accept接受。如“接受礼物”说成英语是 accept a gift, 而“接受教育”却是 receive an education。表示“接见”、“接待”时,要用 receive 而不用 accept。如: She was warmly received. 她受到热情接待。2, Provide,offer和supply用法比较 Provide的用法: provide指有远见,为应付意外、紧急情况等作好充分准备而“供给、提供”, 可用于pro

30、vide sb.(with sth.)或provide sth.(for sb.)结构。 He persuaded other people to provide money or to give help. 他说服别人提供钱或给予帮助。 The school provided food for the students. 学校为学生提供伙食。They provided us with all the books we need. 他们为我们提供所需要的所有书籍。 Supply的用法: supply通常指定期“供应”,强调替代或补充所需物品,常用于supply sb. with sth.或su

31、pply sth. to sb.结构。The cars will be supplied to people all over the country. 这些汽车将供应给全国各地的人们。Cows supply us with milk. 母牛供给我们牛奶。 In Britain milk is supplied to each house in bottles. 在英国牛奶是装在瓶子里送往每家每户的。 Offer的用法:侧重表示“愿意给予” 常用于offer sb. sth.或offer to do sth. 结构,后不能接双宾结构,或宾语从句。 She offered me a cup of

32、 tea. 她给我端了杯 茶。 He offered to go instead of me. 他主动提出代替我去。注 意: provide不如supply常用,有时它们可互换,而后者无此用法。可说provide/supply sth. to sb.,也可说 provide/supply sb. with sth.。 The bank provided/supplied him with a loan $100,000. 银行为他提供了10万美元的贷款 万美元的贷款。 3, opportunityn. 1) (适当的) 机会,好机会 for,ofat on the first 一有机会,只要有

40、ects to fail the exam. 他预料自己考试不会及格。3)其后可接不定式或不定式的复合结构,但不能接动名词。如:I expect to finish the work by Friday. 我期望能在星期五以前完成此工作。He expected her to go with him. 他期望她同他一起去。4)其后可接 that 从句,若从句谓语为否定,注意否定的转移。如:I dont expect that he has done such a thing. 我预料他不会干出这种事来。在口语中有可表示“想”或“揣想”。如:I expect youre tired. 我想你是累了

41、吧。其后可接 that 从句,但不接 wh 从句,若遇有疑问词,则要使用“疑问词do you expect”这样的句式。如:你想什么时候离开?误:Do you expect when you will leave?误:Do you expect when to leave?正:When do you expect to leave?在简略回答中,expect 后的 that 从句可用so(肯定)或 not(否定)代替。如:A:Will he come back soon? 他很快会回来吗?B:I expect so (I expect not). 我想是的(我看不会)。Its a pleasu
