30、英译汉练习是英语否定结构的翻译,主要让学生练习英语的部分否定、双重否定、 完全否定结构和含否定意义词语句子等的一些翻译技能。英语中的部分否定也称半否定,常用的词语和短语有:not all, allnot, not everyone, not always, not everything, not every, not both, both not, not everyday, not altogether, not everywhere 等。比如练习中的第三句就属于部分否定句 : Working is not always convenient, and there will be times

34、中的事。Anxiety about taking tests is not uncommon.对参加考试感到焦虑是常有的。/对参加考试感到焦虑并非罕见。Mr. Brown said elections would not have been possible without UK forces.布朗先生说没有英国军队的存在就不可能有选举。But nothing at all could have been done without their support. 如果没有他们的支持,根本就不可能取得什么成绩/可能什么都做不成。英语表示完全否定的词语有never, no, not, none, n

I think it s because it s counter-productive
